Are Redskins Closer to Name Change?

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has said he will never change the team’s nickname as long as he owns the team. But recent comments by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell that discussion about the name should take place might change Snyder’s stance. Washington Post sports columnist Mike Wise says Snyder’s position may have to change as pressure mounts from not just Native Americans, but media, other NFL owners and possibly sponsors.
